If you receive an error saying CNC Simulator Pro cannot load certain plugins (e.g., GridDrill.blocks
), use one of the fixes below.
Option 1 — Run the app as Administrator
Open the installation folder (default):
C:\Program Files\CNCSimulator.com\CNC Simulator Pro
Right-click CNCSimulator.exe → Properties.
Open the Compatibility tab.
Check Run this program as an administrator.
Click Apply → OK.
You should now be able to start CNC Simulator Pro without issues.
Option 2 — Disable sample plugins (no admin needed at runtime)
If running as Administrator is not an option, disable the sample plugins (they’re just examples and not required):
Close CNC Simulator Pro.
Open:
C:\Program Files\CNCSimulator.com\CNC Simulator Pro
Rename the Plugins folder to _Plugins.
Start CNC Simulator Pro normally (do not “Run as administrator”).
Notes:
If you previously enabled “Run this program as an administrator” but choose Option 2, return to Compatibility and uncheck it so users aren’t forced to elevate.
To restore the sample plugins later, rename _Plugins back to Plugins (you may need admin rights to rename in Program Files).
